Tuesday: Susy went home sick, but before she did, we worked on: El Muchacho Pastor storytelling, and we finished the Ser vs Estar trabajo (10 pts.) (You need to pick this up at school since I can't make an electronic copy). Working on the principles of Ser vs Estar can be found here. Wednesday: I really was sick today and stayed home. However, Sarita took over and valiantly led the class in reading the first two chapters of La Tumba, as well as making a list of occupations, and also worked on telling time, which students are saying they don't know! Thursday: Today we talked about Ann Chase's year so far in Spanish and her advice to current Spanish students: "study your conjugations and practice whenever you can!, and we talked about the current situation in Catalunya, Spain (Barcelona region) which has recently voted for independence, but probably won't be able to make it happen because Madrid isn't too happy about it, and then we practiced and took some notes on the difference between ¿Qué hora es...?, and ¿A qué hora...?, and then we read Cap. 3 or 4 of La Tumba depending on which class we are in.

Then, we'll tell the Cuento del Muchacho Pastor. Here's the LISTA de VOCABULARIO. We then proceeded to tell this story to our neighbors, and then acted it out. We are beginning our study of REFLEXIVE VERBS, STEM-CHANGING VERBS, and also the PAST in a vague way (which will become very specific.) LAST WEEK, we worked on Ser vs. Estar, and on Thursday and Friday we worked on a two-sided trabajo that was turned in for 10 pts! Ask us if you haven't received this. |
