Es el mes del Proyecto de Mi Frida (una biografia y una pintura) para el ALL SCHOOL EXHIBITION el 27 de abril a AHS.
Over the course of these two months, we'll be reading a biography of Frida Kahlo while we increase our knowledge of the past tense, mainly the imperfecto y pretérito. We will also be completing the Mi Frida Project. Osprey Week begins on March 20, followed by Spring Break, so upon our return to school in April, we will begin a new unit on Cuba, the command tense, and FOOD!
Feliz año nuevo 2017! Please check the CALENDAR and the 2017 PARA EMPEZAR tabs on the right in order to figure out what you need to do in class on a daily basis. Here is a resource for studying SPANISh on your own: DUOLINGO
To avoid repetition, I've decided the best way to communicate is for you to go to both the DAILY CALENDAR page as well as the nov-dic PARA EMPEZAR tab to the right of this post in order to figure out what we're doing in class. Otherwise, in general, this month we're still working on some of the present tense forms like reflexive verbs, all the pronouns (reflexive, direct object and indirect object), as well as double verb forms like present progressive (estoy hablando), the "future" (voy a hablar) and other double verb structures like: quiero ir, puedo ir, empiezo a ir, necesito ir, etc We have read "Llévame al hospital", and hopefully we'll finish a story about Picasso and Guernica, a painting I have a small copy of in my room.
No voy a levantarme de Sr. Wooly (working on the future tense combo of ir + a + infinitives), and continuing to refine our Calaveras Literarias and creating the artwork. These are due at the end of the week (no more class time after Friday.)
Termina Calavera literaria # 1 y #2. Turn in as DRAFT #1. REVISE. Begin to make your calavera picture that goes with your written calavera. Your CALAVERA that you're going to use for your art piece was DUE TODAY!!!! Send to me if you were absent.
We will also have a CONJUGATION WORKSHOP for those who have missed this boat (No te preocupas, there's still time!) También, terminamos Casi Se Muere (solo Caps. 7 y 8!).
